KIEREN PERKINS
In 1996 Kieren Perkins defied the odds to come back from Lane 8 and win the iconic men’s 1500m freestyle, a win that has become part of Australian sporting folklore.
In the last two years the world has experienced it’s own Lane 8, the GFC has forever changed the way businesses operate and European financial instability is still creating uncertainty for many businesses.
The challenges facing business leaders and their employees are vast; how do we navigate these uncertain times, do we have the skills to overcome the obstacles, where is the confidence Kieren has relied on for so long in his career?
These issues and more are the hurdles to success that Kieren overcame in Atlanta, his practical understanding of what it takes to come back from Lane 8 is invaluable in these times.
The journey Kieren has undertaken in his career post-swimming gives him a unique insight into the process of coming back from the brink, not just to survive, but to thrive and win.
