Tim Watson
Tim made his debut for Essendon at the age of 15 years and 305 days, the second youngest player of all time. Watson’s career spanned 16 years and included 3 premierships. On retirement, he joined Channel 7 as a news reporter and football commentator. His dry sense of humour and engaging style has generated admirers by not only football fans but sporting enthusiasts country wide.
Tim’s uniquely personable manner paired with an intimate knowledge of the game of football, has enabled him to successfully combine careers in radio, television and print. Currently Tim co-hosts sports station SEN’s popular breakfast radio program with Bill Brownless and Andrew Maher whilst continuing to work for Channel 7 in both news and their coverage of AFL football.
